This Tuesday, February 10th, WYSI and Shamrock Springs Elementary School will host a blood drive to raise awareness for the need for blood (and blood donation) for patients battling cancer.
This donation takes less than an hour and most people are eligible to donate. The Indiana Blood Center must see 550 individuals each and every day in order to meet patient needs in the 60+ hospitals it supplies.
Students will receive a special gift from the Indiana Blood Center for any adult that participates in the blood drive.
This blood drive is dedicated to Elliott Ogle of Westfield, age 8, battling ALL – a form of leukemia.
