Westfield’s new residential construction in 2015

With a record number of new single-family home starts in Westfield in 2014, residential construction has many exciting plans for 2015.

Chatham Hills Model

Chatham Hills  – Located just west of US 31 at 191st street (southwest corner of SR 38), this 750 acre residential wooded community features an 18 hole Championship golf course designed by legendary Pete Dye (currently under construction), fitness classes, hiking/biking trails (that connect to Monon Trail!), private dog park with swimming for your dog, and “The Club at Chatham Hills”.  Built by Henke Develpoment Group, Phase 1 residential section begins in 2015 and includes 196 lots.  When Chatham Hills is completed in approximately ten years it will be huge, resembling Bridgewater.

Derby Ridge – Located on the northeast corner of 161st & Ditch Rd,  just down the road from Wood Wind Golf Club.  This 55 acre development will have 82 lots and the first sections is slated to begin in 2015.

Harmony – Located on the west side of Ditch between 146th and 156th, also just down the road from Wood Wind Golf Club.  A 277 acre mixed use development including 710 single-family residences, multi-family residential as well as commercial.  Construction is already underway in sections 1 and 2.

The Lakes of Westfield – Located just south of 186th between Grassey Branch Road and Shady Nook Road, near Washington Woods Elementary School.  This 138 acre residential development is already under construction, with home construction of section 1 (80 lots) expected in 2015.

Viking Meadows – Enclave and Springs – Bordered by 156th, Oak Ridge Road, and 161st and is west of the existing Viking Meadows Community.  This 63 acre development consists of two sections and a total of 127 single-family lots.  Homes in Enclave include 81 lots and are designed for the “empty nester” and are ranch or one and one-half story homes.  Homes in Springs include 46 lots and are traditional single-family homes.  Both areas will feature a variety of historical architectural styles.  Construction is expected to begin in 2015.
